The war movement in Putin’s chess in Ukraine
The strong imprint of society, from the bottom up, which conditions civil and political life in Ukraine is a potential intolerable cultural and civil invasion in the post-Soviet sphere which Putin protects from interference of all kinds.
Putin annexed Crimea; he divided Ukraine by supporting indirectly but not too much a war in Donbass which lasted seven years and left more than fifteen thousand dead, breaking even more the unity of the former Soviet country; he signed agreements contracted by a Europe led by Merkel, in Minsk, knowing that the counterpart could not or could not respect them for the part concerning the federalization of the State and the autonomies; now that Afghanistan is gone as it is gone, now that Merkel is gone, now that NATO is brain dead according to Macron’s diagnosis, now that home affairs calls for a need for a new takeover patriotic, now that the energy has become again strategic, hyperstrategic, for the purposes of recovery after the acute phase of the pandemic, now that Lukashenka in Belarus is hysteria the Euro-Polish neighbors and beyond with North Korean-style maneuvers, now Putin amasses troops and armaments and threatens to intervene directly to recover in substance, the protection of Ukraine, whose president-elect, the professional actor Zelensky, is not considered worthy of dialogue.
